Odd Fellows Building

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) building, or as it was commonly known, the Odd Fellows building, stood at the intersection of South Bend’s Washington and Main Streets, on the site where Teachers Credit Union is now located. The construction firm for the building was the Hay-Weaver Company. The picture was taken on taken on March 1, 1929, from the fifth floor of the building as it was under construction. The St. Joseph County Courthouse, located across the street, can be seen on the right side of the picture. Donated by Cole Hay.
