Educators are invited to Gallery Talks for Teachers, presented by The History Museum and the Studebaker National Museum from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, and taking place at the Community Learning Center, 305 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, where the museum’s exhibit RESIST! is on view. The exhibit explores the three-day show of resistance in 1924 against the Ku Klux Klan. The confrontation was led by University of Notre Dame students who led hundreds of citizens into downtown South Bend to confront the Klan at the height of its power. Curriculum materials related to the exhibit are provided. A certificate for two PGP points is given, and complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres are offered. To register, contact Stephanie McCune-Bell at or (574) 235-9664, ext. 6241.
