The History Museum is located two blocks west of Tippecanoe Place, formerly the home of Clement Studebaker and now a restaurant that offers excellent continental fare. The complex is minutes from the University of Notre Dame and within blocks of the South Bend Museum of Art. For more information, visit the Convention and Visitors Bureau of South Bend/Mishawaka by clicking here.
The History Museum’s Copshaholm, the Oliver Mansion, is an official participant in the “Art & Earth Trail,” recently launched by the Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission (click here). The “Art & Earth Trail” promotes areas of interest throughout northern Indiana that relate to art (like art galleries or artist studios) and earth (like Copshaholm, which was home to J.D. Oliver who manufactured the Oliver plow).
